CRISIS
If you are in crisis and require EMERGENCY TREATMENT, please call 9-1-1 immediately or seek treatment at the nearest hospital Emergency Room.
Individuals who may be
suffering from a crisis or who are dealing with acute emotional needs--and are not in an emergency situation--will receive an assessment from a highly experienced member of the Polk Wellness Center staff.
Clients in crisis will receive a brief medical screening, supportive
care, and if needed, see a therapist for an evaluation.
It is important to remember that articles regarding health and mental health should not be used in place of one-on-one assessment and treatment by a medical or mental health care professional.
These resources will be most
useful to you in conjunction with appropriate assessment,
diagnosis and treatment.
Call the Polk Wellness Center today for an appointment: (828) 894-2222.
